Carbon literacy training for events

This accredited two-day course gives you the knowledge and practical skills to reduce your own carbon impact, your team’s and your event’s.

What is carbon literacy?

Being carbon literate means understanding how your decisions and actions affect the climate, your business and your community, both nationally and internationally.

In the events industry, this includes everything from material choice and transport to energy use and waste management. For us, it also extends to how you look after the people you work with.

Who is carbon literacy training for?

This course has been designed specifically for people working in the events industry.

It is ideal for freelancers, suppliers, production managers and organisers. In short, anyone who wants to start or accelerate their progress towards the Net Zero Events Pledge.

Why train with Decordia?

We have decades of experience producing creative and sustainable events. So what we teach, we apply every day in our own work.

We understand the pressures that come with live events and that sustainability decisions do not operate in isolation. They have to work within budgets, timelines, logistics and the expectations of stakeholders.

This training, developed in collaboration with Lisa Sweeting shares everything we’ve learned, in the hope that together, we can push the industry forward to net zero.

Carbon literacy accreditation

This course is accredited through our partnership with the Carbon Literacy Project. Recognised as one of 100 worldwide Transformative Action Programs at COP21 in Paris, they bring their deep carbon expertise, we bring real-world event experience. The result is practical knowledge and tools you can use straight away.
